Talk To God

Talk to God

When talking to God, make sure you are calm and not praying in a moment of anxiety, frustration, or anger.

“If you want the man to expose his true intentions, It’s your responsibility to be genuine about yours.”

Praying to God to remove certain men from your life can be tricky. Some men that are removed from your life may not be a result of your prayer, some are a result of being pushed away that could have been potentially a great relationship.

“Just because he’s not willing to let you go, doesn’t mean that he’s the man for you.”

Stay alert. Be aware. Keep your eyes open.

Some men will simply stay in a relationship because it’s convenient for them. It’s easier to just stay than to start all over. This doesn’t mean they’re staying loyal to you or that you’re the wife he has in mind.

I had an ex that kept coming back into my life and would say that I’m his one and blah blah blah… He was just comfortable with me. I was all he knew.

His actions never aligned with his words.

At first, I fell for everything he would say to me. Every time he came back into my life. Always being there, made me second guess my progress of moving forward.

Allowing him back into my life was all on me. For that, I was back at square one.

I felt constricted. I wasn’t feeling secure anymore, I didn’t voice my desires, and I failed myself.

Don’t let this be you. If you feel like you’re constricted in your relationship, call me, and let’s take a coffee break.

“All in all, when praying to God, enter prayer in submission, be open and welcome everything He has to say, even if it’s not what you want to hear.”

It’s what we need.

I think a misconception most people have about me is that I’m not religious. That’s not the case, I was raised in a very religious household. Being said, I am religious in many ways that people tend to forget that it’s part of my identity. I’m a daughter of God who attends church regularly on Saturdays and I have my own conversations with God nightly. I receive his presence and his guidance with an open heart.

I think this is a misconception for anybody that holds a nontraditional relationship with God. Everyone has their own way of talking with a higher power and that’s a private matter.

Just because people enjoy life to the fullest doesn’t mean they’re not into church. It’s not one way or the other. It’s your own way of living life and there shouldn’t be any judgments for that.

You don’t have to be public about your talks with God, your actions will radiate His love and His selflessness from inside of you.

“Take action with God’s guidance. If you do that then you build faith, strength, resilience, and wisdom.”

If it weren’t for the endless conversations I had with God about my purpose in life, my relationships with men, relationships with everyone in my life, my goals, and my role in this life he gifted me with.

I wouldn’t be writing at this very moment, I wouldn’t be where I am at this moment, I would have been trapped in a relationship that wasn’t intended for me, I would have been stuck in a workplace that didn’t fulfill my goals. I would have been living a life that wasn’t the plan He had for me.

Talk to God.

“For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.”

– Jeremiah 29:11

My favorite song to prepare me to Talk to God is Oceans by Hillsong United. FAvorite lyrics are, Take me deeper than my feet could ever wander, and my faith will be made stronger.

as always,

with much love,
