Unspoken

Unspoken

The despair in her eyes, as he said goodbye, left her in fear of new beginnings

Being blocked by their sealed lips, so nothing could slip up

Left the unspoken truth hanging from the tip of their tongues

While she faded in the crowd, he walked away

People passed by as she veiled her eyes, for there were tears to hide

Her thoughts were cluttered; she just wanted to be set free

The unspoken words in her head are ready to expose who she is

Her secretes, her ideas, her judgments, her biases

Everything that she kept from the world may now come to an end

Things she’s not proud of, secretes from the society, broken promises, you name it, it’s all stored away

As the butterflies were released, emptiness was felt

Everyone around her were parting ways, leaving her stranded in open space

No point in wasting time on speaking, if no one was there to witness

Therefore, she held on to the words that were left unsaid
